Most AI training for project managers stops at prompting: paste your notes into a chat tool and ask for a status report. GenAI & Agentic AI for Project & Program Management, an AI for project managers course, goes further. Over 12 hours, you build six working automation tools for real project tasks, using Python, the OpenAI API, LangGraph, and n8n, connected to tools you already use like Google Sheets, Gmail, and Jira.
This guide covers what you build, what you need before you start, and whether it’s the right course for your role.

The six tools you build
| Tool | Project stage | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Charter generator | Initiation | Turns a project brief into a structured charter: objectives, scope, stakeholders, risks, success criteria |
| WBS planner | Planning | Turns a scope document into a work breakdown structure with duration estimates and dependency flags |
| RAG document analyzer | Throughout | Answers questions from your project documents |
| Meeting-minutes agent | Execution | Extracts decisions and action items from a transcript and emails attendees |
| Change-impact tool | Monitoring and control | Reads a change request against the plan and drafts an impact analysis |
| Weekly status report generator | Reporting | Reads progress from Sheets, including earned value figures, and drafts the status narrative for your distribution list |
You build most of them twice: first as Python scripts and LangGraph agents, then as n8n workflows that need no code to maintain. That gives you a choice when you take them back to work, depending on who’ll look after them.
What each module covers
| Module | Covers |
|---|---|
| Generative AI for project management | Setting up the OpenAI API safely with a usage cap, structuring prompts for PM tasks, getting structured JSON output, charter and WBS generation in Python |
| Agentic AI for project management | LangGraph agents for initiation, planning, earned value reporting, and meetings, triggered by schedules or sheet changes and connected to Drive, Sheets, and Gmail |
| No-code automation with n8n | Rebuilding the charter, WBS, EVM, meeting minutes, change control, and status workflows in n8n, plus a Telegram assistant for stakeholder emails |
The real time commitment
The course itself is 12 hours, but it assumes you’ve completed Python for AI first. If you haven’t coded before, plan for the full path.
Hours listed on the course page, excluding your own practice

Who it’s for
- Project and program managers who’ve done Python for AI and want to automate reporting and planning
- Scrum Masters, who’ll get most from the meeting, retrospective, and stakeholder communication workflows
- PMO professionals who spend hours each week compiling status reports
- Delivery leads who want repeatable AI workflows across several projects
The techniques work whatever PM tool your organization uses. The course connects to Google Sheets, Gmail, Drive, Jira, and Slack, but the approach of extracting data, generating drafts, and sending them for review applies to Asana, MS Project, or anything else.

FAQ
Can AI write a status report good enough to send to a sponsor?
It can draft one that needs little editing, if the prompt and data are set up well. You stay accountable for what gets sent, and the course is built around AI drafting and you reviewing.
Is this a no-code course?
No. The n8n module is no-code, but the first two modules use Python. That’s why Python for AI is a prerequisite.
Is there an exam?
No. You leave with the tools you built.
